IMC Portfolio

More than a collection of graduate assignments, this portfolio presents one professional philosophy supported by eight examples: communication has the greatest impact when it is grounded in research, informed by ethics, accessible to diverse audiences, and shared in ways that empower others to learn.

Each theme below asks the same question of every project:

What does this work teach us about communication?

Strategic Communication & Professional Positioning

The three projects featured here demonstrate how research, strategic planning, and continuous learning inform stronger communication decisions and how those insights translate into practice. Together, they trace the full life of an idea: a strategic plan that applies the IMC planning process to my own professional brand, an original mixed-methods study on gamification in higher-education marketing, and the live curriculum that research helped shape in my classroom.

Ethics, Diversity & Inclusion

Colorful Tote Bags

This theme features three projects that explore how ethics, cultural competence, and inclusive communication shape stronger relationships, better decisions, and more responsible leadership. This theme is deeply personal. As a bilingual, bicultural communicator, I have spent my career helping audiences feel seen and understood. These projects show what that commitment looks like as professional practice and what it can teach any communicator.

Integrated Campaigns & Knowledge Translation

The featured projects demonstrate how communication theory, research, and strategy can be translated into compelling stories, integrated campaigns, and meaningful learning experiences. Together, they close the loop that has been present throughout my career: learn it, apply it, and teach it forward.
